Great Longstone CC. ‘Mind the Windows, Tino AP…’

Chatsworth and Great Longstone are in the southern bit of the Peak District National Park which is in that part of the country between the M1 and the M6 (I don’t get out much). They have spectacular grounds, gorgeous countryside and most importantly many fine ales (no word yet on the Rosé).

Accommodation Update

The 4 star Palace Hotel Buxton has been chosen as the tour hotel for our visit to the Peak District. We have been able to obtain an excellent rate of £45 inc Vat & breakfast sharing a twin room or £90 for a single occupancy. There is a limited number of rooms available at this very special rate (normal rate £136 per room per night) so please reserve your room and your place on the tour URGENTLY by contacting Steve Wilson specifying what nights you require and whether you are sharing or require a single occupancy room.

Buxton is an attractive slightly Bohemian town, once a famous Spa town to rival Bath although somewhat colder. There are many pubs, bars and restaurants and everything is within walking distance of The hotel. We will be approximately, 8 – 10 miles or 15 – 20 minutes from our games.

PLEASE ACT NOW TO BOOK YOUR ROOM AND PLACE ON THE TOUR. ROOMS AT THIS EXCLUSIVELY GCC RATE WILL BE ALLOCATED ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVED BASIS.

N.B. AFTER THE 15TH MARCH PLACES ON THE TOUR WILL BE OPENED UP TO NON-PLAYING MEMBERS FROM OTHER CLUBS IF WE HAVE INSUFFICIENT NUMBERS.
